The technology of wind turbines is constantly evolving. This progress creates the need for retrofit maintenance to improve the performance of older model turbines in the field, reduce the failure rate and modernise the existing infrastructure. Retrofit is a comprehensive service process that includes not only component replacement but also software, sensor technology, control systems and structural reinforcement.
Extreme Jobsprovides manufacturer independent (multi-brand) services in retrofit projects and offers modernisation solutions suitable for the current condition of the turbines. These studies start with a site survey. The most appropriate development plan is prepared by analysing the turbine's past failure records, performance values and technical documents of the manufacturer.
Common retrofits include replacing older generation control panels with new SCADA-compatible systems, aerodynamic improvements (e.g. blade extender installation), updating in-tower lighting and service lift systems. In addition, sensor systems (temperature, vibration, oil quality, etc.) are made more sensitive and data-driven, enabling predictive maintenance.
Retrofit operations are planned in such a way that active turbines can be carried out without decommissioning. In this way, production losses in the field are minimised. Our team carries out all assembly and software steps in the retrofit process in accordance with the manufacturer's documentation and every process is recorded.
After modernisation, the turbine performance is monitored, the energy production increase is analysed and a detailed performance comparison report is provided to the customer. This approach extends the life of the turbine by 5-10 years on average and shortens the return on investment period.

Reporting Process
Extreme Works Technicians document and record all periodic control instructions, all application procedures valid from the beginning to the end of the work and every intervention in the repair process with photographs. Documentation archived in this way provides confidence to the customer in terms of evaluating the accuracy of the application.
Safety and Application Method
As Ekstrem İŞLER, we always read the safety data sheet of the products before starting work during inspection or during maintenance and repair.
Our team does not start working before the equipment and work safety precautions included in the safety instructions are provided. Every day, technicians are informed about the existing hazards and precautions to be taken by the team chiefs.
